Maverick County Republican Party Chairman and community volunteer, Jose Reyna, registered his candidacy for the Eagle Pass Independent School District (EPISD) Board of Trustees Place One position on Tuesday, August 14, 2012.

The EPISD Trustee Place One position is currently held by Rodolfo Lopez, who registered his candidacy for re-election on Monday, August 6th. Local attorney Claudio Heredia also registered for this same position on August 6th.

Reyna stated that he is running for the EPISD Trustee Place One position for the benefit of the local school children who demand greater attention to students than the adults.

Reyna seeks to provide leadership regarding the implementation of academic programs for local students and preparing students for college and a significant career.

“The future of our children runs parallel with receiving a college education,” said Jose Reyna.

Reyna stated his focus are the school children receiving the best education in Texas.
