Aaron Valdez for Mayor Receives Endorsement from Current and Former Mayors of Eagle Pass
(Press Release) Eagle Pass Mayoral candidate Aaron Valdez was honored at a breakfast reception on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 hosted by current Mayor Rolando Salinas, Jr. and former Mayors Rodolfo “Fito” Barrera, Enrique Montalvo, Jesus Sanchez, Rogelio Flores, Jose “Pepe” Aranda, Jr., and Luis E. Sifuentes wherein they jointly endorsed Valdez for Mayor in the upcoming Eagle Pass City Council Election of May 3, 2025.
Mayor Rolando Salinas, Jr. stated he has been impressed with the dedication and campaign of Aaron Valdez for Mayor in the coming City Council Election on May 3, 2025. He added that “I am very proud to support and endorse Aaron Valdez for Mayor of Eagle Pass. I am confident Aaron Valdez has the best interests of the citizens and employees of the City of Eagle Pass.” Salinas noted Aaron Valdez has done a great job as Chairman of the Maverick County Hospital District Board of Directors and has gained valuable leadership experience to follow through and bring to fruition the many pending City of Eagle Pass projects such as the expansion of the Camino Real International Bridge from six to 12 lanes, the construction of the new City gymnasium on Second Street, and bring thriving economic development projects to the community.
Valdez stated he is deeply honored and humbled by the endorsement of his candidacy to become the next Mayor of Eagle Pass by Mayor Rolando Salinas, Jr. and the distinguished former Mayors Rodolfo “Fito” Barrera, Enrique Montalvo, Jesus Sanchez, Rogelio Flores, Jose “Pepe” Aranda, Jr., and Luis E. Sifuentes.
Valdez encouraged all Eagle Pass registered voters to come out and cast their ballots in the City Council Election for him as Mayor starting with the Early Voting Period on Tuesday, April 22 through 29, 2025 at the City’s Cruz Antonio Munoz Gymnasium, located at 2086 Roosevelt Drive, Eagle Pass, Texas. Regular Election Day is on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the same Cruz Antonio Munoz Gymnasium from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Aaron Valdez was accompanied at the Mayoral Breakfast Reception by his lovely wife, Stephany Valdez, parents, Rito and Sonia Valdez, family members, and friends.
Valdez stated he is greatly honored for the confidence and trust bestowed by the distinguished present and past Mayors of Eagle Pass in his leadership and experience to lead the City of Eagle Pass to prosperity, economic development, and a greater quality of life for all residents, businesses, and visitors alike.
