Texas Roadhouse Restaurant Grand Opening Held February 3rd in Eagle Pass

With guests coming from all over Texas and northern Mexico, the highly anticipated grand opening of the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant in Eagle Pass, Texas was officially held on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 2:45 p.m. as Managing Partner Rushie Mckenzie opened the doors to Eagle Pass’s newest food and beverage restaurant and welcomed them to a new dining experience in the community.
Among the first diners at the Texas Roadhouse grand opening included people from Andrews, Carrizo Springs, Crystal City, Uvalde, Corpus Christi, Eagle Pass, and other cities in Texas as well as from Piedras Negras, Nava, Morelos, Monclova, and Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico. Diners were excited to be among the first to enjoy a new gastronomical experience in Eagle Pass.
“We are elated to be able to open our doors at Texas Roadhouse in Eagle Pass and offer a new dining experience to diners from both Texas and Mexico,” Rushie Mckenzie said. “We are excited for opening and have great expectations for this restaurant,” added Mckenzie. Texas Roadhouse is a great family dining experience.
“The City of Eagle Pass is honored and pleased that Texas Roadhouse selected Eagle Pass as the site of its newest chain restaurant. The new restaurant is going to significantly contribute to the dining experience, attract tourism and retail trade, and draw new economic development opportunities in Eagle Pass,” Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas, Jr. said.
The new Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Eagle Pass seats almost 300 diners and employs 200 persons to operate its seven day week schedule. The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The Texas Roadhouse is located at 568 South Bibb Avenue between the Denny’s Restaurant and Lowe’s Home Improvement Store in Eagle Pass.
Texas Roadhouse opened its doors in 1993 with its first restaurant in Clarksville, Indiana and has grown exponentially “to more than 600 locations in the United States and nearly 40 international locations in foreign countries.” Texas Roadhouse is “famous for its Hard-Cut Steaks, Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs, Made-From-Scratch Side, and Fresh-Baked Bread.” Texas Roadhouse is based in Louisville, Kentucky.
Texas Roadhouse was “founded upon providing fresh, quality food for a value, which is why it makes its food from scratch, even the bacon bits, croutons, and dressings.”
The walls of the Texas Roadhouse in Eagle Pass is adorned with murals and memorabilia from Eagle Pass to reflect the local community. The restaurant also has murals featuring the Native American culture painted by a distinguished Texas Roadhouse artist.
Texas Roadhouse has received numerous accolades from consumer and industry groups including being named the No. 1 Steakhouse in America by Consumer Choice in Chains survey in 2003; voted Best Steakhouse Value by Consumers Choice in Chains survey in 2004; voted No. 1 Steak by Nation’s Restaurant News News Consumer Picks survey in 2015; named No. 1 Full-Service Chain in Sales and Satisfaction by Restaurant Business in 2016; named one of Fortune Magazine’s Most Admired Companies in 2022; and many other awards.
