SRSU College of Business joins prestigious Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs
*PRESS RELEASE*
The Rio Grande College of Business (RGCOB) at Sul Ross State University announced its membership in the preeminent and global Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
This marks a significant step as RGCOB embarks on its journey to achieve ACBSP accreditation, a distinction earned by only 7.5 percent of business schools worldwide.
ACBSP accreditation represents the highest standard in business education, focusing on recognizing teaching excellence, evaluating program quality, and ensuring students acquire the skills needed to succeed in a highly competitive employment market from their educational investment. By joining ACBSP, RGCOB reinforces its commitment to continuous improvement and equipping students with the knowledge and competencies that employers value most.
As part of this initiative, RGCOB has commenced a year-long self-study as part of the journey toward accreditation, with the goal of achieving accreditation for both the Bachelor and Master of Business Administration programs by 2026.
With ACBSP accreditation, RGCOB looks forward to strengthening its reputation as a leading business school in the region and beyond. This initiative aligns with Sul Ross State University’s mission to provide transformative education that empowers students and fosters innovation in their communities.
