City of Eagle Pass Municipal Golf Course Clubhouse Renovation Ribbon Cutting Held

The City of Eagle Pass, Texas hosted a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony for its newly renovated Municipal Golf Course Clubhouse on Wednesday, November 26, 2024 amidst a large group of golf players, City employees, public officials, entrepreneurs, citizens, and golf enthusiasts.
Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas, Jr. joined by City Councilwoman Monica J. Cruz, City Manager Homero Balderas, Assistant City Manager Ivan Morua, Eagle Pass Golf Course Manager Carla Rodriguez, City Public Relations and Marketing Director Aide Castano, City Public Works Director Daniel Ibarra, City Community Programs Coordinator Thery Cardenas, City Assistant Parks and Recreation Department Director, City employees, and golf enthusiasts formally cut the grand opening ribbon cutting of the approximately $50,000 project.
The renovated clubhouse is designed with a Scottish theme since golf was founded in Scotland. The renovation project was done mostly by City Parks and Recreation and Public Works employees. The finished product is beautiful and has genuine golf decor and furniture.
Mayor Salinas welcomed all golfers, City employees, guests, and fans of golf to the grand opening ribbon cutting. He congratulated the City of Eagle Pass Public Works and Parks and Recreation Department employees whom worked on the clubhouse renovation project designed by City Community Programs Coordinator Thery Cardenas.
Mayor Salinas stated the golf clubhouse renovation project was exceptional and a great asset to both the Municipal Golf Course and the community in attracting new players, tourists, and enhanced the quality of life for everyone.
City Councilwoman Monica J. Cruz added the golf clubhouse renovation project was beautifully done and provides a comfortable meeting place for golfers playing the course. She congratulated the City employees for their outstanding craftsmanship and dedication in successfully completing the project.
City Manager Homero Balderas stated the clubhouse renovation project will definitely increase the demand for playing the course and draw new local and out of town players to want to play there.
Following the comments, Mayor Salinas and City employees formally cut the grand opening ribbon and enjoyed a tour of the newly renovated clubhouse. Refreshments and light food treats were provided to all guests in attendance at the ceremony and tour of the facility.
