Maverick County Hospital District to Hold Board of Directors Election on November 5, 2024, Three Seats to be on the Ballot

The Maverick County Hospital District will hold a Board of Directors election for three seats of its five member Board on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, announced Aaron Valdez, President of the Maverick County Hospital District Board of Directors.
The three seats on the November 5th ballot will be those currently held by incumbents Humberto Duran, Rebecca Robinson, and Gerardo Villalpando.
The two MCHD Board of Directors who are not up for reelection are Aaron Valdez and Adolfo Olivares as their terms expire until November 2026.
Individuals interested in registering as a candidate for the MCHD Board of Directors election on November 5th may pick up a candidate registration application from July 20 through August 19, 2024 with Nestor Bonilla, Interim Chief Executive Officer, at 3406 Bob Rogers Drive, Eagle Pass, Texas 78852, Telephone No. (830) 757-4900. Due to July 20th falling on a Saturday, technically the first day to turn in one’s candidate application is on Monday, July 22nd through Monday, August 19th until 5 p.m.
Early voting will be held from Monday, October 21 through Friday, November 1, 2024 and the regular Election Day is on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Early voting will be held at the City of Eagle Pass Multi-Purpose Center, located at 480 S. Adams Street, Eagle Pass, Texas during October 21 through November 1st. Regular Election Day on Tuesday, November 5th will be held at designated Maverick County Precinct polling sites.
A few local individuals have expressed interest in seeking to become a candidate for the MCHD Board of Directors election on November 5th, as well as the incumbent candidates whom are expected to seek reelection to another four year term.
The top three vote getters among the registered candidates at the MCHD Board of Directors election on November 5th election are elected to the three Board seats upon the results being canvassed following the election.
The MCHD Board of Directors election will be held jointly with the Maverick County and Eagle Pass Independent School District elections being held on November 5, 2024, as well as the state and federal election, including the United States Presidential election.
