Eric Villasenor Named Eagle Pass Independent School District Athletic Director

Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Head Football Coach and Athletic Coordinator Eric Villasenor was named the new Eagle Pass Independent School District Athletic Director on July 9, 2024 by Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees, announced Samuel Mijares, Superintendent of Eagle Pass Independent School District.
Former Eagle Pass Independent School District Athletic Director Edward Graf retired after a successful 21 plus years as Athletic Director of the local public school district.
Villasenor was named in 2013 as the Head Football Coach at C. C. Winn High School, where he led the Mavericks football program and athletic teams to success and respect within the State of Texas.
In 2016, Villasenor led the Winn Mavericks to the regional semi-finalist championship game against the Richmond Foster High School Falcons, which included now Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cee Dee Lamb, and was named by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine as the Rio Grande Valley/Laredo Region Football Coach of the Year, finishing with a 10-3 overall season record.
Villasenor expressed his appreciation to the Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees for their confidence in him to lead the Athletic Department at the school district. Villasenor also thanked his parents, wife and son, coaches, and high school athletes at Winn High School for allowing him to develop into a Head Football Coach and now as an Athletic Director.
Villasenor looks forward to working with the community in developing all athletic programs in the Eagle Pass Independent School District as well as continuing to educate all student athletes on becoming a successful and productive citizen in society through athletics.
