13 Eagle Pass Lady Eagles Named to 2024 District 30-6A All-District Softball Team, Gaby Galvan Named MVP Pitcher

The District 30-6A Head Softball Coaches have announced that a total of 13 Eagle Pass High School Lady Eagles were named to the 2024 All-District Softball Team plus Head Coach Oscar Ruiz was named the Coach of the Year after guiding the Lady Eagles to an undefeated 10-0 District record in clinching the 2024 District Championship.
Lady Eagle Gaby Galvan was named the District 30-6A Most Valuable Player-Pitcher for her outstanding season on the circle.
A total of seven Lady Eagles were selected to the elite District 30-6A First Team All-District, including first baseman Karina Gomez, second baseman Krysta Ruiz, short stop Mia Silva, catcher Sierra Torres, outfielders Elisa Gomez and Michelle Torralba, and designated player Alessa Gonzalez.
Three Lady Eagles were picked to the District 30-6A Second Team All-District, including pitcher Lynsey Rodriguez, third baseman Rocio Moreno, and outfielder Jazmin Laredo.
Two Lady Eagles were named to the District 30-6A Honorable Mention Team, pitcher Sofia Torres and Anissa Elizondo.
The Eagle Pass Lady Eagles enjoyed an outstanding 2024 season going 20-9 with a District 30-6A Championship and Bi-District Championship Runner-Up.
The Lady Eagles fell to perennial softball powerhouse San Antonio O’Connor Lady Panthers in a highly competitive best of three series with the Lady Panthers winning Game 1 by a close score of 4-2, then prevailed in Game 2 with a 12-5 win, but fell in Game 3 with a score of 10-2 to end the season.
