Eagle Pass Eagles Named to 2023 District 30-6A All-District Football Team

Eagle Pass High School Eagles Head Football Coach Tom Gonzalez has authorized the Eagle Pass Business Journal to announce the Eagles’ student-athletes that have been named to the 2023 District 30-6A All-District Football Team by the District head coaches.
Eagles senior quarterback Andres Garcia was named the Most Outstanding Quarterback in District 30-6A in 2023. Garcia has also been named a finalist for the Texas HS Football.com 6A quarterback of the Year for 2023.
Eagles sophomore wide receiver Sebastian Velasquez was named the Offensive Newcomer of the Year in 2023.
Eagles junior wide receiver Jose “Pepe” Hernandez was named the Most Outstanding Receiver for 2023.
Eagles senior linebacker Devante Monsivais was named the Most Outstanding Linebacker in 2023.
Eagles named to the 2023 First Team All-District Offense Team include junior kickoff and punt returner/specialist Jose “Pepe” Hernandez, senior offensive guard Armando Moyeda, junior wide receiver Sebastian Diaz (unanimous), senior offensive tackle Tristan Dierks (unanimous), senior wide receiver and punter Wilfredo Frausto, and junior kicker Lazaro Frausto.
Eagles named to the 2023 First Team All-District Defense Team include senior safety Armando Lechler, senior linebacker Diego Villarreal (unanimous), senior defensive tackle Sebastian Salinas (unanimous), senior cornerback Walker Finleyson (unanimous), senior defensive end Izhar Mauricio, and senior defensive end Gunnar Caballero (unanimous).
Eagles named to the 2023 Second Team All-District Offense Team include senior offensive tackle J. Mata, senior offensive center J. Rendon, and senior offensive guard R. Rendon.
Eagles named to the 2023 Second Team All-District Defense Team include senior defensive tackle Diego Rodriguez, junior inside linebacker Kaleb Salinas, junior free safety Adrian Rodriguez, junior outside linebacker Luis Velasquez, and senior outside linebacker Tristan Gonzalez.
Eagles named to the 2023 Honorable Mention Team include sophomore running back Emilio Mendoza, senior fullback D. Flores, senior offensive tackle J. Carrillo, senior defensive tackle J. Olavarrieta, and senior cornerback C. Gonzalez.
