16 Eagle Pass Winn Mavericks Named to 2023 District 13-5A, Division I, All-District Football Team

Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks Head Football Coach, Eric Villasenor, announced that a total of 16 Mavericks earned 2023 District 13-5A, Division I, All-District Football Team honors, authorizing the Eagle Pass Business Journal to release their names.
Five Mavericks were named to the elite First Team Offense/Special Teams, including running back Tadeo E. Rivera (#21/Senior); outside wide receiver Sebastian Vasquez (#4/Senior); center Esteban A. Rodriguez, Jr. (#55/Junior); offensive guard Mario Lopez (#60/Senior); and offensive tackle Gregory Salazar (#65/Senior).
One Maverick was named to the elite First Team Defense—inside linebacker Jaime Barrientos (#31/Senior).
Four Mavericks were named to the Second Team Offense/Special Teams, including running back Luis E. Flores (#20/Sophomore); inside wide receiver Luis A. Leos (#32/Junior); offensive tackle Samuel I. Quiroz (#62/Senior); and kicker Daniel Rodriguez (#10/Junior).
Five Mavericks were named to the Second Team Defense, including defensive tackle Dwane S. Camarillo (#75/Senior); defensive tackle Jose M. Rodriguez, Jr. (#70/Senior); defensive end Humberto Munoz, Jr. (#36/Sophomore); outside linebacker Estevan Hoffman (#5/Senior); and cornerback Francisco M. Ramirez Negrete (#8/Senior).
Two Mavericks were named to the Honorable Mention Offense/Special Teams, including tight end Humberto Munoz, Jr. (#36/Sophomore) and returner Tadeo E. Rivera (#21/Senior).
Two Mavericks were named to the Honorable Mention Defense, including defensive end Emanuel Reyes (#43/Senior) and inside linebacker Tadeo E. Rivera (#21/Tadeo E. Rivera).
Senior standout Tadeo E. Rivera earned three All-District honors, including First Team Offense/Special Teams as a running back, Honorable Mention Defense as an inside linebacker, and Honorable Mention Offense/Special Teams as a returner.
Sophomore standout Humberto Munoz, Jr. earned two All-District honors, including Second Team Defense as a defensive end and Honorable Mention Offense as a tight end.
