La Guadalupana Adult Day Care Center Celebrates Fiestas Patrias in Grand Fashion

La Guadalupana Adult Day Care Center led by Rosy and Richard Garza celebrated Mexico’s 213th Independence Day Anniversary with a festive and colorful Fiestas Patrias for its clients and the community on Thursday, September 14, 2023, featuring Mexican Consul Vivian Juarez Mondragon of Eagle Pass, Texas as honorary guest and official declarant of the famous “Grito de Dolores,” also known as the Declaration of Independence.
La Guadalupana Adult Day Care Center clients look forward each year to the grand celebration of Fiestas Patrias in honor of Mexico’s Independence Day and love to dress up for the occasion in traditional Mexican folkloric dresses and fashion wear to commemorate the beautiful culture and history of Mexico.
La Guadalupana Adult Day Care Center Director Maria Elena Herrera and her trusted assistant Ricky Dovalina presented a festive and fun-filled program celebrating the Fiestas Patrias and Mexico’s Independence Day with a lovely Mexican fashion show and costume contest, the coronation of the Ms. Fiestas Patrias, the Declaration of the “Grito de Dolores,” singing of the Mexican National Anthem, dancing to the live music of Tin Cisneros, games and prizes, and a hearty luncheon with all the delicious Mexican foods and refreshments.
Mexican Consul Vivian Juarez Mondragon presented with great pride and enthusiasm the “Grito de Dolores” to the delight of all in attendance, declaring Mexico’s Independence and honoring all of its national heroes.
Guests enjoyed the friendship of everyone present at the Fiestas Patrias and the fun and games provided as entertainment.
Music recording artist Tin Cisneros serenaded all the guests at the Fiesta Patrias with traditional and modern Mexican melodies and music.
