Judy Canales Attends International Economic Development Council Conference

Judy Canales attended the annual International Economic Development Council Conference (IEDC) held during September 17-20, 2023 in Dallas, Texas.
The 2023 annual International Economic Development Council Conference featured sessions on entrepreneurship, workforce development, community economic transformation, and leadership development. IEDC held a panel discussion in Spanish for the first time in its history.
IEDC Panelists discussed strategies for business and economic opportunities in the United States and Latin America.
Canales greeted Alejandra Castillo, a former colleague and now Assistant Secretary for Economic Development, United States Department of Commerce at the conference. Canales and Castillo had the privilege and honor to serve in the Administrations of President Bill Clinton and President Barack Obama as colleagues.
Canales is currently a Doctor of Philosophy candidate in Leadership Studies at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas and a Board member of BCL of Texas, a statewide small business lender.
