Consul of Mexico of Eagle Pass, Texas Launches Binational Entrepreneurship Program for Women

The Consul of Mexico of Eagle Pass, Texas led by Consul Vivian Juarez Mondragon launched the inaugural session of the historic Binational Entrepreneurship Program for Women on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the Eagle Pass International Center for Trade with 30 women from Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, 15 from each city, selected to receive a four months long training on entrepreneurship and marketing strategies on launching women-owned businesses along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Upon completion of the innovative four months entrepreneurship program, participants will received a Certificate of Entrepreneurship from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona.
The 30 participants will compete in a best of program business plan and marketing strategy competition at the end of the program. The winner will receive a business office suite at the new City of Eagle Pass Business Incubator Project upon its completion in 2024, announced Arturo Marquez, City of Eagle Pass Economic Development Department Director.
Marquez stated Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras are extremely fortunate to have been selected by the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Relations under the leadership and guidance of Consul Vivian Juarez Mondragon to launch the inaugural Binational Entrepreneurship for Women Program.
Consul Vivian Juarez Mondragon congratulated each of the 30 participants selected for the inaugural program and wished them success in the program, highlighting the program will be extended to other U.S.-Mexico border states based on the success of the local program.
