Eagle Pass Babe Ruth Baseball 14 Year Old All-Stars to Compete at World Series

The Eagle Pass Youth Baseball and Softball Association’s Babe Ruth Baseball 14 Year Old All-Stars are bound for the 2023 Babe Ruth Baseball World Series in Stafford/Fredricksburg, Virginia during August 3-13, 2023, announced Morris Libson, Jr., President of Eagle Pass Babe Ruth Baseball.
The Eagle Pass Babe Ruth Baseball 14 Year Old All-Stars punched their ticket to the 2023 World Series by capturing the United States Southwestern Regional Championship on Sunday, July 23, 2023, defeating the tournament host Camden, Arkansas 14 Year Old All-Stars.
The Eagle Pass City Council honored the local 14 Year Old All-Stars on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the City Council meeting and wished them all the luck at the 2023 Babe Ruth Baseball 14 Year Old World Series in Virginia.
The Eagle Pass Babe Ruth Baseball 14 Year Old All-Stars include Arturo “DJ” Aranda, Brandon Alvar, Nathan Carreon, Nathan Ortiz, Alejandro Mallen, Jacob Martinez, Isaac Guerrero, Aiden Morales, Oro Rodriguez, Anten Stanwick, Henry Silva, and Abelardo Perez. Team Manager is Lalo Ortiz and Assistant Coaches are Gilberto Villalobos and Ariel Morales.
Eagle Pass will be competing against teams from Stafford/Fredricksburg, Virginia, Arlington, Virginia, Tallahassee/Leon, Florida, Franklin Township, New Jersey, Trumbull, Connecticut, Beckley, West Virginia, Broomall-Newton, Pennsylvania, Orcutt, California, Sedro Woolley, Washington, North Moorehead, Minnesota, Mexico, Australia, and Aruba.
Eagle Pass will commence Pool Play on August 5, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. (EST) against Broomall-Newton, Pennsylvania, followed by a game on August 6th against Arlington, Virginia at 8 a.m. (EST), then on August 7th against Aruba at 10:30 a.m., and on August 9th against Orcutt, California at 1 p.m. (EST).
Following Pool Play, the teams will be seeded according to their Pool Play record for Bracket Play during August 10-12th and the top two teams will play for the World Series Championship on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 2 p.m. (EST).
