Eagle Pass Woman Dies from Stab Wounds
Maverick County Sheriff’s Department reported an Eagle Pass woman was found deceased at a residence located in the Radar Base, 12 miles north of Eagle Pass, from multiple stab wounds sustained by the victim from another individual.
The deceased victim was identified as Roxanne Arreola Ramos, age 34, of Eagle Pass, Texas.
A suspect has been arrested for the alleged murder of Arreola Ramos, Elora Marie Rheinfeldt, age 29, of Eagle Pass.
Maverick County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Roberto De Leon stated they received a telephone call on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at approximately 5 p.m. De Leon noted the Deputies found the deceased woman at a residence. Witnesses pointed to Rheinfeldt as the perpetrator. Rheinfeldt was arrested shortly thereafter in the vicinity of the incident.
Rheinfeldt is detained at the Tom Bowles Detention Center awaiting to be magistrated by a judge and a determination of a bond amount.
The Maverick County Sheriff’s Department and the Texas Rangers are investigating the murder case. The case remains under investigation and has been referred to the District Attorney’s Office.
