Asalia Casares Sworn-In as New Maverick County Tax Assessor-Collector

Newly Unopposed-Elected Maverick County Tax Assessor-Collector Asalia Casares was officially sworn-in on Monday, November 28, 2022, by 293rd Judicial District Court Judge Maribel Flores at a ceremony held at the Maverick County Courthouse in Eagle Pass, Texas amidst family, public officials, friends, and supporters in attendance.
Casares also was administered her Oath of Office by District Judge Maribel Flores at the ceremony. Casares formally signed her Oath of Office before District Judge Maribel Flores.
Casares was accompanied by her beloved mother, sister, Andrea Casares and son, family members, local public officials, friends, and supporters at the swearing-in ceremony. She thanked her family, particularly her mother, and friends for their unwavering support in her bid to become elected to the County Tax Assessor-Collector post.
Casares stated she would start her new position on Tuesday, November 29, and looked forward to serving the people of Maverick County as their new County Tax Assessor-Collector.
Casares vowed to provide professional and courteous service to Maverick County taxpayers having business before the County Tax Assessor-Collector Office.
Among local public officials joining Casares in the ceremony included 293rd Judicial District Court Judge Maribel Flores, newly-elected Maverick County Judge-Elect Ramsey English Cantu, Maverick County Attorney Jaime “A. J.” Iracheta, Maverick County Commissioner Precinct No. 3 Olga Ramos, Maverick County District Clerk Leopoldo “Polo” Vielma, Maverick County Clerk Sara Montemayor, and former Maverick County Tax Assessor-Collector Isamari Sanchez Villarreal, and former City of Eagle Pass Tax Assessor-Collector Mary Pete Ramirez.
Casares received two beautiful bouquets of roses, one from her sister, Andrea Casares, and another by a cousin.
Casares invited County taxpayers to visit her at the County Tax Assessor-Collector Office located at 1823 South Veterans Blvd., Eagle Pass, Texas.
