City of Eagle Pass Named Best Border Town in 2022

City of Eagle Pass, Texas Economic Development Director Arturo Marquez announced that Official Best of America had named the City of Eagle Pass as the Best Border Town in 2022 among multiple entries from United States-Mexico communities, elevating Eagle Pass among the elite border communities in the nation.
Official Best of America is a national TV show that since 2007 has been filming amazing experiences across America, conducting extensive research to find the highest rated experiences such as tours, restaurants, parks, towns, and even some products and services in select areas. A video of each city selected is filmed by the production crew of Official Best of America to be aired on national television.
The City of Eagle Pass applied to Official Best of American and submitted an application together with a video of the exciting and fun activities that tourist can enjoy in the community, including aerial drone footage of Eagle Pass landmarks such as downtown Eagle Pass, the Eagle Pass Art and Culture Center, Public Library, Historic Maverick County Courthouse, the Greetings from Eagle Pass mural, two international bridges, Amistad International Friendship Festival Carnival scenes, the Patsy Winn Sports Complex, Maverick County lake, local restaurants, Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino, and many other iconic sites.
Marquez stated “It is an honor and privilege for Eagle Pass to be named the Best Border Town in 2022 by Official Best of America.” The City of Eagle Pass and local governmental entities and businesses have been working collaboratively to promote our community as a tourist and conference destination on the U.S.-Mexico border.
Marquez added that this “Best Border Town in 2022” recognition will go a long way in attracting many tourists to Eagle Pass and receive recognition across the country through the Official Best of America TV show.
Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas, Jr. congratulated all of the city’s departments and staff who collaborated on this project and winning the “Best of the Border in 2022” honor, highlighting the progress and outstanding quality of life being developed in Eagle Pass. Salinas cordially invites all travelers and tourists to come visit Eagle Pass and enjoy its many historic sites, sports and leisure activities, retail shopping and restaurants, hotels, casino, and fun and exciting events happening in the community.
