Maverick County Water Control and Improvement District No.1 to Elect Two Board of Directors, Early Voting is April 25-May 3 and Election Day is May 7, 2022
The Maverick County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 announced it is holding an election of two Board of Directors seats on the five member board with Early Voting being from April 25-May 3, 2022 and regular Election Day on Saturday, May 7, 2022.
Six candidates have registered for the two seats on the ballot of the MCWCID No. 1 Board of Directors election, including incumbents Javier A. Mancha and Beyer Dash Junfin, Juan Jaime Luna, Juan Manuel García, Jr., Hugo H. Urbina. and Henry Abdalla Moses.
Early Voting will be held on April 25-30 and May 2-3, 2022 at the MCWCID No. 1 Conference Room located at 1622 Industrial Parkway (Radar Base) in Eagle Pass. Texas from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on April 30 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. as an extended Saturday early voting day.
Regular Election Day is on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at three district locations, including the Quemado Community Center. 20160 U.S. Highway 277 North, Quemado, Texas; the El Indio Community Center. 115 W. Texas Street, El Indio, Texas; and at the MCWCID No. 1 Conference Room, 1622 Industrial Parkway (Radar Base), Eagle Pass, Texas.
The two candidates receiving the most votes will be elected to the two seats in contention on the MCWCID No. 1. Board of Directors.
A total of 240 MCWCID No. 1 members registered to vote in the May 7, 2022 Election out of approximately 800 members.
