2020 & 2021 Eagle Pass Independent School District Teachers of the Year
On Monday, August 9th, EPISD Superintendent, Mr. Samuel Mijares and EPISD Deputy Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, Mr. John Cox recognized the 2019 – 2020 and 2020 – 2021 Teachers of the Year!
The dynamic duo surprised the chosen teachers at their perspective campuses with their prizes. It was smiles all around as not only was the Teacher of the Year surprised with the great news, but the entire campus as well!
Mrs. Adriana Vargas, 5th grade teacher from Ray H. Darr Elementary was named the 2019 – 2020 Teacher of the Year and Mrs. Nelly Cantu, Life Skills teacher from Benavides Heights Elementary was named the 2020 – 2021 Teacher of the Year.
Both ladies were showered with prizes courtesy of EPISD, Ashley Furniture, Border Federal Credit Union, and Peter Piper Pizza!
