Eagle Pass to Host Babe Ruth Baseball 13-15 Year Old World Series during August 10-18

Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas, Jr. announced the City of Eagle Pass is hosting the 2021 Babe Ruth Baseball 13-15 Year Old World Series during August 10-18, 2021 at the newly opened City of Eagle Pass Patsy Winn Sports Complex with 10 teams across the United States participating in the prestigious World Series.
Participating teams will arrive on Tuesday, August 10, and register at the City of Eagle Pass International Center for Trade, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., receiving an orientation and welcome to Eagle Pass and the Babe Ruth World Series.
The 10 participating teams will be divided into two divisions, the American Division and the National Division. The American Division will be composed of the teams representing Ohio Valley, Southwest, Midwest Plains, Pacific Southwest, and Eagle Pass. The National Division will be composed of teams representing New England, Middle Atlantic, Southeast, Pacific Northwest, and Texas State Champion: East Texas. The teams will compete in pool play in each division with the top three teams in pool play advancing to single elimination playoffs leading to the Championship game on August 18.
On Tuesday, August 10, the City of Eagle Pass is hosting all 10 teams to a Welcome Picnic from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the historic ruins of Fort Duncan in downtown Eagle Pass.
On Wednesday, August 11, Babe Ruth Baseball World Series Commissioner will host a Breakfast for all team managers and coaches to go over the World Series rules and regulations at IBC Bank-Eagle Pass Community Room.
The Opening Ceremonies of the 2021 Babe Ruth Baseball 13-15 Year Old World Series kicks-off on Wednesday, August 11, at 10 a.m. at the City of Eagle Pass Patsy Winn Sports Complex. The first pool play game begins on Wednesday, August 11, at 11 a.m. with New England versus Middle Atlantic and continuing until Sunday, August 15, totaling 20 pool play games before the Single Elimination Playoffs commence on Monday, August 16 until the Championship game on Wednesday, August 18, at 6 p.m.
On Wednesday, August 11, all 10 teams will be featured at the “Night in Downtown Eagle Pass” celebration at 8:30 p.m., also locally known as “Dog Days of Summer.”
The 2021 Babe Ruth Baseball 13-15 Year Old World Series is open to the public and admission tickets may be purchased at the Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce, 400 Garrison Street, Eagle Pass, Texas, Telephone (830) 773-3224.
Mayor Salinas stated he welcomes all teams participating in the Babe Ruth Baseball World Series to Eagle Pass and wishes them the best of luck in the tournament. Salinas noted the City of Eagle Pass and its businesses will benefit from the economic activity generated by the teams, parents, and followers during their stay in the community.
