City of Eagle Pass – Economic Development Department Recruits New Starbucks to Eagle Pass

(Press Release) Eagle Pass, TX – Shortly one year since its inception, the City’s Economic Development Department has successfully recruited Starbucks. Today, Starbucks is the largest coffeehouse chain in the world. As of 2020, there are over 30,000 locations worldwide in more than 70 countries.
Investment for the new Starbucks will be approximately $2.1 million and is expected to generate 20+ new employment opportunities, both part-time and full-time. The City will sign a Chapter 380 Agreement which will partially assist the developer to build a needed underground detention. This new project is testament of the newly adopted incentives the city can offer to attract new businesses.
“The investment by Starbucks is welcomed by the City of Eagle Pass with open arms. The investment will help the City of Eagle Pass recover some jobs that have been lost due to the current pandemic,” said George Antuna, City Manager. “I would like to welcome and thank Starbucks for selecting the City of Eagle Pass for their next location. The project investment is a commitment to the economic prosperity of our City.”
