Eagle Pass Police Department Crime Report
Tuesday, October 13, 2020: 28-year-old Lazaro Jaime Melchor Jr. was arrested on three warrants issued by the Eagle Pass Police Department. The warrants stem from an incident which occurred on Friday October 9, 2020 at approximately 10:50 PM on Flowers Street and the North Veterans Overpass in which a 23-year-old female was the victim of an assault.
Melchor was presented before a magistrate and charged with a 2nd Degree Felony aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, a 1st Degree Felony aggravated kidnapping and a 1st Degree Felony aggravated robbery.
Melchor was remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a combined $100,000.00 bond. This incident will be referred to the Maverick County District Attorney for prosecution.
Friday, October 16, 2020: 33-year-old Luis Armando Valladarez was arrested on two warrants issued by the Eagle Pass Police Department which stem from an investigation into a complaint filed by a female. Valladarez was presented before a magistrate and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $90,000.00 bond for the charges of harassment and terroristic threats.
Friday, October 16, 2020, 12:00 AM: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle pursuant to a traffic violation on the 1500 block of El Indio Highway. The female driver identified as 47-year-old Veronica Snowball was arrested after .31 grams of crystal methamphetamines were located within the vehicle along with drug paraphernalia. Snowball was transported to the police department where she was magistrated and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $5,000.00 bond for a state jail felony of possession of a controlled substance.
