Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach Eric Villasenor released on Monday, September 21, 2020 the 2020 Winn Mavericks Football Schedule for the shortened and delayed football season, featuring six action packed District games.
Head Coach Villasenor noted that the Mavericks start practicing today, September 21, after receiving clearance from the Texas University Interscholastic League (UIL). Villasenor added that the Mavericks student-athletes are excited to be able to get back on the football field and start their 2020 season workouts.
The Winn Mavericks will kick-off the 2020 season with a District game against the rising San Antonio Southside Cardinals on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 7:30 P.M. in San Antonio, Texas.
The Mavericks home opener game is against District arch-rival Laredo Cigarroa Toros on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 7 P.M. at the Eagle Pass Independent School District (EPISD) Student Activity Center in Eagle Pass, Texas.
The Mavericks third game of the season is against District nemesis Laredo Martin Tigers on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 7 P.M. at Laredo Independent School District (LISD) Shirley Field in Laredo, Texas.
The Mavericks will enjoy an open week during the fourth week of the season, November 9-13.

The final District game is against the San Antonio Southwest Legacy Titans at home on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 7:30 P.M.
If the Mavericks qualify for the state playoffs, they will continue playing into December, but if they do not make the playoffs their season will come to an end on December 4.
Missing from the 2020 schedule is the traditional non-district rivalry game against cross-town Eagle Pass High School Eagles due to the shortened season as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
