Sul Ross Rio Grande College Campuses Shift to Online Learning for Fall
By: Laura Nelson, Sul Ross State University
Sul Ross State University Vice President of Rio Grande College campuses in Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Uvalde, Dr. Robert Muñoz, has announced RGC will offer all classes online for the fall 2020 semester.
Muñoz said, “Our decision to hold all classes remotely was driven by our priority to protect the health and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff. With the increase in COVID-19 cases across the state as well as the significant rise in the middle Rio Grande region, moving to online learning is the prudent path to help stem the spread of the virus.”
RGC faculty will hold classes via web, Zoom, a combination of web and Zoom, and using Blackboard Collaborate. Our instructors are working to switch to online platforms and specific information for each course will soon be available using Banner or viewing the entire class schedule in its PDF format. Classes begin Aug. 24. Meanwhile, for more information please call the Vice President’s office at 830.279.3023 or email rgcinfo@sulross.edu.
