Eagle Pass Police Department Seize 18 Kilos of Methamphetamines
(Press Release) On Friday, June 5, 2020 at 2:15 PM, Eagle Pass Police Officers conducted a traffic stop pursuant to a traffic violation on a 2012 grey Ford F-150 pickup within the 2600 block of Highway 57. Upon coming to a stop, the driver fled into the brush where responding units searched the area but were unable to locate the driver.
The pickup was impounded and during the course of the inventory and inspection it was discovered to contain numerous packages of narcotics concealed within the spare tire. A total of eighteen (18) kilograms of methamphetamines with an estimated street value of $110,000.00 were retrieved.
This incident remains under investigation.
