Eagle Pass Man Arrested Pursuant to Four Felony Warrants

(Press Release) On March 10, 2020, the Eagle Pass Police Department arrested 20-year-old Genaro Ramos after an investigation lead to the issuance of four (4) felony warrants. Ramos was arrested Sunday March 8, 2020 at approximately 2:44 PM on a felony traffic stop which was conducted near the intersection of El Indio Highway and Laredo Street. 

Ramos was taken into custody without incident and later formally charged with three (3) attempted aggravated robbery charges and one (1) charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. These charges stem from an incident which occurred in the early hours of Sunday March 8, 2020 in which gunshots were reported in the 1100 block of Carthridge Street. 

Ramos was remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a combined $125,000.00 bond for the above charges. 

This case remains under investigation.
