The Texas University Interscholastic League (U.I.L.) released its bi-annual District realignment of all Texas public high schools for football and all sports on Monday, February 3, 2020.
Eagle Pass High School Eagles Head Football Coach Tom Gonzalez announced to the Eagle Pass Business Journal that the Eagles were basically kept in the same district as the previous two years, except a new District Number 30-6A was assigned instead of the old District 29-6A.
Joining the Eagle Pass Eagles in the newly numbered 30-6A District for football and all other sports include previous District 29-6A members Del Rio High School Rams, Laredo Alexander High School Bulldogs, Laredo Johnson High School Wolves (LBJ), Laredo Nixon High School Mustangs, Laredo United High School Longhorns, and Laredo United South High School Panthers.
The Eagles were fortunate to be kept in basically the same District as the previous District with the same teams in it. This District is sometimes referred as the Border District with all high school members based in a Texas-Mexico border community.
The Eagle Pass Business Journal wishes the Eagle Pass Eagles all the best in their newly re-aligned District 30-6A for the 2020-2022 period. Go Eagles Baby!
