CBP at Laredo Field Office Ports Processes $190.6 Billion in Imports, Millions of Cars, Trucks in FY 2019
LAREDO, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers and agriculture specialists at Laredo Field Office ports of entry processed more than $190.6 billion in imports and millions of vehicles, pedestrians and commercial trucks during Fiscal Year 2019.
“CBP within the Laredo Field Office ports of entry continues to lead the nation in commercial truck traffic processing volumes,” said Director, Field Operations Randy J. Howe, Laredo Field Office. “Our frontline officers continue to uphold our border security mission, maintain our focus on priority trade issues while facilitating steady volumes of legitimate trade and travel, protecting America’s economic security.”
At Laredo Field Office’s eight ports of entry extending from Brownsville to Del Rio in Fiscal Year 2019, CBP officers processed a total of 3.6 million commercial trucks that hauled commercial shipments worth $190.6 billion in total import value. CBP officers also processed 20.6 million privately owned vehicles, 11.5 million pedestrians and 69,076 commercial buses.
CBP agriculture specialists conducted inspections in passenger and commercial environments and submitted more than 7,000 pest interceptions in FY 2019.
