U.S. Marshal Susan Pamerleau Swears-In New Members of Lone Star Fugitive Task Force

United States Marshal Susan L. Pamerleau of the Western District of Texas swore-in 10 new members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at a ceremony held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the U.S. District Courthouse in Del Rio, Texas.
U.S. Marshal Pamerleau stated that one of the most important jobs of the U.S. Marshals Service is to investigate and arrest fugitives from federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and courts.
U.S. Marshal Pamerleau stated that “We couldn’t do one of our critical missions without our local, state, and federal partners. Task Force officers are vital to the success of the whole team, together enabling us to keep our communities safe and take off the streets those who are a danger to our neighborhoods. Cultivating strong partnerships with our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners creates strong bonds to ensure fugitives are arrested, and our neighborhoods remain safe!”
The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force has locations in Alpine, Austin, Del Rio, El Paso, Midland, San Antonio, and Waco.
The Del Rio Division is composed of task force officers from the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division, Del Rio Police Department, Dimmit County Sheriff’s Office, Eagle Pass Police Department, Edwards County Sheriff’s Office, Kinney County Sheriff’s Office, Maverick County Sheriff’s Office, Real County Sheriff’s Office, Terrell County Sheriff’s Office, Uvalde Police Department, Uvalde County Sheriff’s Office, Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office, Zavala County Sheriff’s Office, United States Border Patrol, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and the U.S. Marshals Service.
Sworn-in at the January 15th ceremony were Joe Ramos of the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office, Ricardo Ramirez of the Dimmit County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Eusevio Salinas of Zavala County, Sheriff Pamela Elliott of Edwards County, Sheriff Nathan Johnson of Real County, Edward Canales of the Uvalde Police Department, Ricardo Rios of the Zavala County Sheriff’s Office, Jesus Flores of Homeland Security Investigations-Eagle Pass, Eric Perez of Homeland Security Investigations-Eagle Pass, and Matthew Sepulveda of Homeland Security Investigations-Del Rio.
U.S. Marshal Supervising Deputy Mario Pelayo welcomed the guests in attendance and highlighted the history and role of the U.S. Marshals Service and introduced keynote speaker Marshal Susan L. Pamerleau.
Attending the Swearing-In ceremony was U.S. District Judge Alia Moses of the Western District of Texas, Del Rio Division, U.S. Magistrate Judge Victor Roberto Garcia of the Western District of Texas, Del Rio Division, Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber, Val Verde County Sheriff Joe Frank Martinez, representatives of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, and family members of the newly sworn-in Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.
Following the ceremony, U.S. Marshal Susan L. Pamerleau hosted a luncheon at a local restaurant for the newly sworn-in Task Force Officers and their guests as well as representatives of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
