Eagle Pass Police Department Crime Report
On Thursday, December 26, 2019, 60-year-old Juan Carlos Nandin was arrested on charges of harassment and indecent assault.
The arrest is a result of an investigation commenced on December 22, 2019 after a female complainant came forward to file a formal report for incidents that are alleged to have occurred at her place of employment. Nandin was arrested on two warrants and formally charged before a magistrate and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a combined $7,000.00 bond for both charges.
On Monday, December 30, 2019 at 4:29 PM, an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a white 2014 Nissan occupied by two male subjects. The stop was pursuant to a traffic violation and was conducted within the 1900 block of Antonio M. Garcia Parkway. During the course of the traffic stop the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle. A K-9 search was conducted in which a glass jar containing several individual sandwich bags containing marijuana was located in the vehicle. The driver; 20-year-old Rafael Olivares and passenger 20-year-old Brad Manuel Palacios were arrested and formally charged with felony possession of marijuana in a drug free zone before a magistrate. Olivares and Palacios remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of individual $5,000.00 bonds.
