BREAKING NEWS! Maverick County Jury Renders Not Guilty Verdict Against Christopher De Leon

After a week-long jury trial, a Maverick County jury rendered a verdict of Not Guilty against Christopher Anthony De Leon on Monday, January 20, 2020 for the alleged murder of Miguel Salinas in 2018 in Eagle Pass, Texas, stunning the audience in attendance and family members of the deceased.
De Leon was represented by attorneys Gregory Torres, Natasha Torres, and Priscilla Puente-Chacon. Gregory Torres thanked the members of the jury and the community for listening to all of the evidence in the case and reaching a verdict of Not Guilty.
Torres stated that De Leon has been detained for approximately 18 months and should be released today to join his family after the jury’s verdict was entered by visiting judge Sid Harle in the 293rd Judicial District Court in Eagle Pass, Texas.
The State of Texas was represented by 293rd Judicial District Attorney Roberto Serna and staff.
