Eagle Pass Police Department Crime Report

Thursday, September 5, 2019, 10:00 PM: An officer responded to Port of Entry #1 in regards to a wanted person. Officers arrived and took custody of 47-year-old Maribel Rodriguez on two charges of credit card abuse. Rodriguez is alleged to have utilized a credit card belonging to a complainant without consent which is state jail felony. Rodriguez was later remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a combined $6000.00 bond for both charges. 

Saturday, September 7, 2019, 12:28 PM: Officers responded to the Knights Inn on Del Rio Boulevard in regards to a welfare concern. Officers attempted to contact a tenant within a room who was believed to be in distress. Officers gained entry to the room and discovered 64-year-old Jose Luis Rodriguez do be under the influence of a narcotic. Rodriguez was arrested after being evaluated by EMS and later remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $5000.00 Bond for the charges of possession of a controlled substance after doses of heroin were discovered in his possession. 

Saturday, September 7, 2019, 8:20 PM: Officers responded to the boat ramp in Shelby Park in regards to a male individual detained by the United States Border Patrol. The male subject was found to be highly intoxicated and placed under arrest. During the course of processing 39-year-old Cesar Mateo Saenzpadro Vizcarra made threats towards officers for which charges were filed. Saenzpadro was later remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $10,000.00 bond and a detainer from USBP was issued as he was further discovered to be illegally in the United States.
