Eagle Pass City Council Honors Retired Sergeant Orlando Escareno on 30 Years of Service and Retirement

The City of Eagle Pass, Texas City Council honored retired Sergeant Orlando Escareno with a commemorative plaque at their regular meeting held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, for his dedicated and loyal 30 years of service to the Eagle Pass Police Department and citizens of Eagle Pass. Escareno retired from the Eagle Pass Police Department earlier this month.
Mayor Ramsey English Cantu presented retired Sergeant Orlando Escareno with a plaque in appreciation of his 30 years of service with the Eagle Pass Police Department. Mayor Cantu was joined in the presentation of the plaque to Escareno by City Council members Yolanda P. Ramon, Rudy Villalpando, Luis E. Sifuentes, and Billy Davis.
Eagle Pass Police Department Chief Alberto Guajardo also presented retired Sergeant Orlando Escareno with an engraved plaque on behalf of all the Officers and staff at the Police Department expressing their appreciation for his dedicated and loyal 30 years of service. Police Chief Guajardo was accompanied by many Officers of the Eagle Pass Police Department in presenting this plaque of appreciation to Escareno.
Retired Sergeant Orlando Escareno thanked the City of Eagle Pass and its residents, Mayor Cantu, the City Council, Police Chief Guajardo, his fellow Officers at the Eagle Pass Police Department, and his family for their support during the past 30 years with the Eagle Pass Police Department.
Escareno retired from the City of Eagle Pass, but has accepted a promotion with the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas (KTTT) as its new Police Director of the Kickapoo Tribal Police Department. Escareno noted that he looks forward to continuing to work with the Eagle Pass Police Department in his new role as Police Director of the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Police Department.
Mayor Cantu congratulated Escareno on his new position as Police Director of the KTTT Police Department and offered him the City of Eagle Pass support in his new endeavor as well as to the KTTT.
Eagle Pass Police Chief Guajardo echoed Mayor Cantu’s support of the KTTT and newly named Police Director Escareno. Guajardo stated that retired Sergeant Escareno will be a great asset to the KTTT Police Department with his vast experience in all facets of law enforcement.
