Eagle Pass Eagles Baseball Standout Orlando “Orly” Garza Signs Letter of Intent with Huston-Tillotson University

Eagle Pass High School Eagles Head Baseball Coach Reynol Mendoza announced that Eagles standout catcher Orlando “Orly” Garza signed a national letter of intent to play collegiate baseball with the Huston-Tillotson University Rams of Austin, Texas on May 21, 2019 at the Eagle Pass High School Gymnasium.
Eagle Pass High School Principal John Cox congratulated Orlando “Orly” Garza on signing his letter of intent with the Huston-Tillotson University Rams, noting that only one percent of high school student-athletes sign a college letter of intent and play at the collegiate level. Cox added that Garza is fortunate to have been recognized by Huston-Tillotson University coaches as a talented baseball player they like to play for them. Cox stated that Eagle Pass High School is proud of Orlando “Orly” Garza having this great opportunity to continue his development as a collegiate baseball player.
Joining Orlando “Orly” Garza at the May 21st signing ceremony were his parents, Humberto Garza, Jr. and Luiza Garza, his paternal grandparents, Humberto Garza and Cecilia Garza, coaches, teammates, teachers, family members, and friends.
Orlando “Orly” Garza stated that he wished to thank his parents, grandparents, family members, coaches, and teammates for encouraging him to play baseball and supporting him throughout his young athletic career. Garza added that he looks forward to joining the Huston-Tillotson Rams in the Fall of 2019 in Austin, Texas and contributing to the team win.
