Eagle Pass American Little League 12 and Under All-Stars Capture District 35 Championship Undefeated

The mighty Eagle Pass American Little League Baseball 12 and Under (Majors) All-Stars captured the Texas District 35 Championship against arch-rival Del Rio All-Stars 14-1 on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the La Pryor Little League Baseball Park in La Pryor, Texas while going undefeated (4-0) throughout the tournament.
Eagle Pass 12 and Under All-Stars used a strong pitching performance, explosive hitting, and a stingy defense to completely dominate the Del Rio All-Stars in the District 35 Championship game.
Earlier in the tournament, Eagle Pass defeated Del Rio by the score of 10-4 and forcing Del Rio to go through the elimination bracket to qualify to play Eagle Pass in the District 35 Championship.
The Eagle Pass 12 and Under All-Stars advance to the Texas Sectional Tournament next week in San Antonio, Texas to compete against other District Champions in a double-elimination competition. The winner of the Texas Sectional Tournament in San Antonio advances to the West Texas State Championship in Waco, Texas. The West Texas State Champion then advances to the Little League Baseball Southwest United States Regional Tournament in Waco, Texas while the Southwest United States Champion earns a trip to the 2019 Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
The Eagle Pass American Little League 12 and Under (Majors) All-Stars include Luis Vicente Alvarado, Hector Eduardo Cavazos, Apolonio Delgado, Anthony Garcia, Raphael Garcia, Earl Michael Herring, Luis Alexander Leos, Matthew Emmanuel Mata, Sebastian Perez, Adrian Rodriguez, Esteban Rodriguez, Joaquin Diego Torres, Isaac Manuel Valenzuela, and Jonathan Isaiah Vasquez. The Head Coach is Omar Rodriguez and Assistant Coaches are Luis Alvarado and Jorge Vasquez.
