Eagle Pass Winn High School Top Five Percent Graduates Honored at Banquet

The thundering Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks Class of 2019 Top Five Percent Graduates were announced and honored at a banquet held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Eagle Pass Independent School District’s Raul A. Gonzalez Fine Arts Center in Eagle Pass, Texas, announced Principal Jesus Diaz-Wever.
The thundering Mavericks Class of 2019 Valedictorian is Jan Carlos Rubio Sanchez with an extraordinary GPA of 107.7568 and plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin.
The Salutatorian of the Mavericks Class of 2019 is Katherine Dees with an awesome GPA of 107.7105 and plans to attend the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.
Rounding out the top 10 Mavericks’ Graduates include Alexya R. Rosas as No. 3 with an incredible GPA of 106.3500 and plans to attend the University of the Incarnate Word; the No. 4 Graduate is Greg Romero with an outstanding GPA of 105.5000 and plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin; the No. 5 Graduate is Isaac Raphael Covarrubias with an amazing GPA of 105.4211 and plans to attend Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas; the No. 6 Graduate is Luis Martin Ainslie, Jr. with a blazing GPA of 105.1224 and plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin; the No. 7 Graduate is Jordan Estrada with a magical GPA of 104.8049 and plans to attend the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico; the No. 8 Graduate is Noelia Flores with a fabulous GPA of 104.6444 and plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin; the No. 9 Graduate is Abegail Flores with an amazing GPA of 104.4359 and plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin; and the No. 10 Graduate is Fatima Zavala with an excellent GPA of 103.7368 and plans to attend the Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The Number 11 through 24 ranked Graduates include Suzette Montfort Orta as the No. 11 Graduate with a GPA of 102.8158 and plans to attend Angelo State University; the No. 12 Graduate is Adolfo Ivan Jimenez with a GPA of 102.0250 and plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin; the No. 13 Graduate is Sergio Gonzalez-Torres with a GPA of 101.7576 and plans to attend Texas A & M International University; the No. 14 Graduate is Jose David Robles with a GPA of 101.3171 and plans to attend Colorado Christian University; the No. 15 Graduate is Mayra Alejandra Garza with a GPA of 101.0571 and plans to attend Texas State University; the No. 16. Graduate is Michael Chavarria with a GPA of 101.0556 and plans to attend Texas A & M University at College Station; the No. 17 Graduate is Tanya B. Garcia with a GPA 100.4545 and plans to attend Texas A & M University at College Station; the No. 18 Graduate is Karenny R. Sepulveda with a GPA of 100.1364 and plans to attend the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas; the No. 19 Graduate is Brandon P. Guerra with a GPA of 99.9063 and plans to attend Texas State University; the No. 20 Graduate is Yulissa Escamilla with a GPA of 99.6486 and plans to attend Texas State University; the No. 21 Graduate is Suzy Perez with a GPA of 99.500 and plans to attend Houston Community College; the No. 22 Graduate is Katie E. Gonzalez with a GPA of 99.2353 and plans to attend Southwest Texas Junior College; the No. 23 Graduate is Elizabeth Luna with a GPA of 99.0488; and the No. 24 Graduate is Aralis Gonzalez with a GPA of 98.9412 and plans to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio.
The thundering Mavericks commencement ceremony will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 8 P.M. at the Eagle Pass Independent School District Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Joining the Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Top Five Percent Banquet were the Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees, including Board President Jorge Barrera, Vice-President Hilda P. Martinez, Secretary Dr. Hector Alvarez, Lupita Fuentes, Victor E. Perry, Glenna Purcell, and Christopher Hiller, as well as Superintendent Gilberto Gonzalez, Deputy Superintendents Ismael Mijares, Samuel Mijares, and Rolando Salinas, Executive Director for Instruction David Camarillo, Executive Director for Human Resources Jesus Costilla, Winn High School Administrators, Counselors, Teachers, parents, family, and friends.
Graduate Luis Martin Ainslie, Jr. made a presentation to his fellow honor graduates, Board of Trustees, Administration, Counselors, Teachers, and guests. Superintendent Gilberto Gonzalez congratulated the Mavericks Class of 2019 and Principal Jesus Diaz-Wever praised the top five percent graduates on their accomplishment.
