Eagle Pass Winn Lady Mavericks Softball to Battle San Antonio Edison Lady Bears in Bi-District Championship on April 26-27

The thundering Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Lady Mavericks Softball Team will battle the San Antonio Edison High School Lady Golden Bears for the 2019 UIL Region IV-5A Bi-District Championship in a best of three game series during April 26-27, 2019, announced Lady Mavericks Head Coach J.J. Iracheta.

The Lady Mavericks clinched fourth place in District 28-5A with a key win over the San Antonio Harlan Lady Hawks by a score of 7-2 on Thursday, April 18, 2019, during Parents Night at the Eagle Pass Independent School District Student Activity Center Softball Field as well as the right to battle the District 13-5A, Division I, San Antonio Edison Lady Golden Bears in the Bi-District playoffs.

The Lady Mavericks will enter the Bi-District Championship Series with an overall record of 19-10 and an 8-8 District record while the Lady Golden Bears will enter the series as the District 13-5A, Division I Champions with an overall record of 17-8 and a District mark of 12-0.

GAME 1

The first game of the best of three game series will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019, at 7 P.M. at the San Antonio Independent School District Softball Complex in San Antonio, Texas.

GAME 2

The second game of the series will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 1 P.M. at the San Antonio ISD Softball Complex in San Antonio.

GAME 3

The third game, if necessary, will also be held on Saturday, April 27th, at the same San Antonio ISD Softball Complex 30 minutes following Game 2.

Coach Iracheta invites all the Lady Mavericks softball fans and Maverick Nation aficionados to come out to San Antonio and support the Lady Mavericks to victory against the Lady Golden Bears in the Bi-District Championship Series during April 26-27, 2019.
