Eagle Pass Police Department Crime Report
March 4, 2019: Eagle Pass Auto Theft Investigators obtained two arrest warrants for an adult male directly involved in the burglary of a building and the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle which was reported to the Eagle Pass Police Department on February 1, 2019.
On March 4, 2019 the warrants were served at a residence within the 1100 block of Wildwood Drive where 17-year-old Juan Carlos Aguilar was taken into custody. Aguilar was later presented before a magistrate where he was formally charged with a state jail felony of theft over $2,500.00 but less than $30,000.00 and one charge of burglary of a building. Aguilar was remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a combined $20,000.00 bond for the two charges.
A 16-year-old male juvenile directly involved in this incident was also detained in this and charged with one count of burglary of a building and two counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. This incident will be forwarded to the Maverick County District Attorney’s Office.
Monday, March 4, 2019, 5:59 PM: Eagle Pass Police Officers responded to a residence in Eagle Pass in reference to a reported sexual assault. Investigating officers spoke with a female adult who alleges her child was sexually assaulted by a known person. Criminal Investigators were called to the scene and have initiated an investigation into this allegation. Information will be disseminated as it becomes available.
