Former Maverick County Commissioner Precinct 2 Guillermo “Willie” Mancha passes away
Former Maverick County Commissioner Precinct 2 and retired educator Guillermo “Willie” Mancha passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the age of 75 years old in a San Antonio, Texas hospital.
Mancha served the citizens of Maverick County as County Commissioner Precinct 2 and was a dedicated elementary school teacher at Robert E. Lee Elementary School with the Eagle Pass Independent School District. Following his retirement from the local school district, Mancha became a licensed real estate agent/broker in the State of Texas primarily serving Maverick County residential, commercial, farm and ranch buyers and sellers with a local real estate agency.

Mancha is survived by his wife, Alma C. Mancha, three sons-Guillermo Mancha, Jr., Miguel Angel Mancha, and Sergio Mancha- and one daughter, Rosa Maria Galindo, and 10 grandchildren.
Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, from 2 P.M. to 9 P.M. with a Rosary at 7 P.M. at Yeager Barrera Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 12 Noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church followed by interment at the Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Cemetery in Eagle Pass, Texas.
