Eagle Pass Police Department Crime Report
Friday, December 7, 2018, 2:22 AM: An Eagle Pass Police Officer responded to a motor vehicle accident within the 900 block of Comal Street. Officers detained a 48-year-old male subject who displayed signs of being under the influence of a possible narcotic. A blood sample was obtained and has been sent to the DPS Crime Lab. This incident is pending prosecution upon arrival of lab results.
Saturday, December 8, 2018, 12:46 PM: A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Medina and Main Street on a white 2007 Chevy pickup after it was witnessed by an officer driving in a reckless and unsafe manner. The driver, who could not provide a driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle was identified by his Texas identification card as 24-year-old Ramiro Marquez. Marquez was placed under arrest and presented before a magistrate where he was formally charged with reckless driving and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $2200.00 bond.
Monday, December 10, 2018, 10:18 PM: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a female juvenile near the intersection of Bibb Street and El Indio Highway. Officers arriving on scene witnessed a female fleeing the area and gave chase detaining her after she resisted officers attempting to take her into custody. The female juvenile was taken to the police department where she was processed and later released to the custody of her mother. This incident will be reviewed by the Maverick County Probation Department for possible further action.
Monday, December 10, 2018, 12:49 AM: Officers responded to an apartment complex within the 2400 block of El Indio Highway in reference to a possible disturbance. Officers were directed to an apartment where they spoke with a male subject who provided a name which resulted to be fictitious. Upon determining the true identity of the subject, it was further discovered he had an active federal warrant for his arrest. Officer attempted to arrest the subject who resisted but was taken into custody. 47-year-old Ramiro Valles was later presented before a magistrate where he was charged with resisting arrest and failure to identify and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $4500.00 bond and a detainer order from the U.S. Marshal Service for the outstanding warrant.
