Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine picked the Mavericks to finish second in the new District 14-5A Division I.
The Mavericks will field a more experienced team in 2018 than last year with 29 returning lettermen, including eight offensive starters and six defensive starters. The Mavericks have been working very hard and improving their skills during the past year to enjoy a successful 2018 Season.
Leading the thundering Mavericks on Offense are Quarterback Ethan Johnston, Running Backs Marc Cardenas and Fernando Zapata, Wide Receivers Jose Blanco and Ernesto Vasquez, Inside Receivers Jared Roiz and Raul Solis, Center Daniel Ruiz, Guards Adrian Munoz and Juan Guerra, Tackles Cesar Valdez and Jaime Rodriguez, Kickers Mario Contreras and Ernesto Fuentes, Punter Emmanuel Oviedo, and Deep Snapper Austin Flores.
