Eagle Pass Lady Eagles Volleyball Win First Place in Silver Division at Floresville Jaguars Tournament

The mighty Eagle Pass High School Lady Eagles Volleyball Team won First Place in the Silver Division of the Floresville Jaguars Volleyball Tournament during August 17-18, 2018 at Floresville, Texas, announced Head Coach Izaneli Jimenez.
The 2018 Lady Eagles Volleyball Team includes Josie Garcia, Emily Medina, Alianna Torres, Shania Dunn, Keila Contreras, Sarah Guevara, Larissa Moyeda, Bianca Camarillo, Vanessa Garcia, Ashley Garcia, Sophie Rodriguez, Alyssa Lara, and Paola Rosales.
The Lady Eagles defeated the Ann Richards Academy for the Silver Division Championship on Saturday, August 18th, by the score of 25-18, 11-25, and 25-22. Alianna Torres had 6 Kills, Keila Contreras had 6 Kills and 6 Digs, and Bianca Camarillo had 3 Kills and and 6 Digs.
Earlier in the Semi-Final game of the Silver Division on August 18th, the Lady Eagles defeated Stockdale by the score of 25-20, 26-28, and 25-22 with Alianna Torres getting 11 Kills, Sarah Guevara had 6 Kills and 3 Digs, and Bianca Camarillo had 3 Kills and 6 Digs.
In the opening game of the Silver Division on August 18th, the Lady Eagles beat the Young Women’s Leadership Academy by the score of 25-19 and 25-18 with Alianna Torres hammering 7 Kills, Sarah Guevara had 5 Kills, and Bianca Camarillo had 2 Kills with 4 Aces and 3 Digs.
During August 17th at the Floresville Jaguar Vollyeball Tournament, the Lady Eagles defeated Sam Houston Lady Hurricanes by score of 25-18 and 25-17; lost to San Antonio Edison Lady Bears by score of 19-25, 25-21, and 21-25; and beat Ann Richards Academy by score of 25-17, 23-25, and 25-19.
Lady Eagle All-Around player Bianca Camarillo was named to the Floresville Jaguars Volleyball All-Tourney Team for her outstanding play.
Head Coach Izaneli Jimenez stated that the Lady Eagles are learning to finish the matches with consistency and intensity in preparation for District 29-6A action scheduled to start on Saturday, September 8th, against nemesis Laredo United Lady Longhorns. District 29-6A will be highly competitive with Laredo United, Laredo Alexander, Laredo United South, and Del Rio fielding good teams.
The Lady Eagles are participating in the Laredo United Independent School District Volleyball Tournament during August 23-25, 2018 in Laredo, Texas.
