Eagle Pass Eagles Baseball Face Edinburg Vela Sabercats in Area Championship Series During May 11-12th at UniTrade Stadium in Laredo, Texas

The mighty Eagle Pass High School Eagles Baseball Team face the potent Edinburg Vela High School Sabercats for the University Interscholastic League (U.I.L.) Region IV, 6A Area Championship in a best of three series at UniTrade Stadium in Laredo, Texas during Friday and Saturday, May 11-12, 2018, announced Head Coach Reynol Mendoza.
Game 1 of the Area Championship series will be on Friday, May 11th, at 7 P.M. at UniTrade Stadium in Laredo with the Eagles as the designated Home Team. Game 2 will be on Saturday, May 12th, at 11 A.M. also at UniTrade Stadium with the Eagles as the designated Visiting Team, and, Game 3, if necessary, will be 30 minutes following Game 2 with the Eagles as the Home Team.
The Eagles enter the second-round Area Championship series against the Sabercats with an overall season record of 16-16 and as the Tri-District 29-6A Champions and Bi-Distrit Champions.
The Sabercats sport an impressive overall season record of 25-4 and as the District 31-6A Champions and Bi-District Champions.
The Eagles versus Sabercats Area Championship series will feature two District Champions going against one another.
Both the Eagles and Sabercats are very similar teams with strong pitching and offensive firepower. The Area Championship Series between the Eagles and Sabercats promises to be a highly competitive and entertaining one.
The teams could not have been so lucky to obtain the beautiful professional baseball UniTrade Stadium in Laredo as the neutral site of their second round state playoffs series. UniTrade Stadium is a great baseball stadium for the fans to go and enjoy the finest high school baseball talent in a professional and comfortable atmosphere.
