The 2018 Jesus “Chuy” Sanchez Memorial Cowboy Breakfast officially kicked-off the 2018 Maverick County Junior Livestock Show and Sale (MCJLS) on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, with almost 1,000 persons attending the event.
The Jesus “Chuy” Sanchez Memorial Cowboy Breakfast is sponsored by the Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Maverick County Junior Livestock Show Association in honor of former MCJLS Board President Jesus “Chuy” Sanchez whose leadership and dedication raised the MCJLS to new heights and passed away at a young age after a courageous battle with cancer.
Attendees were treated to a traditional Texas Bar-B-Que featuring scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, gravy, biscuit, coffee, and refreshments.
The Eagle Pass Winn High School Toro Azabache Mariachi serenaded the early morning attendees at the Jesus “Chuy” Sanchez Memorial Cowboy Breakfast while the Winn High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) students served the breakfast as part of their community service.
Many door prizes and gifts donated by members of the Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce were raffled to lucky ticket holders at the Cowboy Breakfast.
The 2018 Maverick County Junior Livestock Show and Sale will run from January 24-27th at the Zan Mathies Showbarn at the Maverick County Lake in Eagle Pass, Texas.
All local and surrounding area businesses, investors, entrepreneurs, entities, foundations, ranches, oil and gas companies, and individuals are invited to register as a Buyer at the MCJLS Sale on Saturday, January 27th, and support the youth 4-H and FFA members of Maverick County.
