Eagle Pass High School Mighty Eagle Marching Band Takes Many Honors at Robstown Crossroads Marching Band Music Festival
(Press Release) The Mighty Eagle Band brought great honor and prestige to the City of Eagle Pass, once again, by taking the top spot in the 6A Division in the Robstown Crossroads Marching Band Festival Competition.
On October 14, 2017, the victorious Eagles were awarded the highest level of recognition by taking a first place trophy at the Festival, which was held in Robstown Independent School District stadium. At the event there were 30 high school marching bands from all across South Texas that competed for awards and recognition with their upbeat performances and halftime shows.
The Mighty Eagle Band should be commended and praised for representing the Eagle Pass Independent School District, the Music Department and the Community with such great talent and achievement.
The recognition goes to the band students for all the sacrifice, tears and sweat, and long hours of practice. They showed the world that they could compete with the best of the best. On this occasion, the resilient Eagles rose to the top, spread there wings and SOARED, in all their glory.
Aside from Eagle Pass High School Marching Band, as a whole, taking the coveted 1st place trophy, the Band was also recognized and awarded 1st place Percussion (Best Percussion) and 1st Place Color Guard (Best Colorguard) at the highly competitive event.
The Mighty Eagle Band Boosters want to personally thank all the students, parents and Band Directors. It was a true team effort how each child, director and band booster parents came together to succeed at the festival.
