Eagle Pass To Host 4th of July Independence Day Celebration Featuring Star-Studded Musical Concert

The City of Eagle Pass, Texas is hosting a 4th of July Independence Day Celebration on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, featuring a traditional red, white, and blue Independence Day Parade at 11 A.M. in downtown Eagle Pass, Water Games at Shelby Park from 5 P.M. through 9:30 P.M., a 4th of July Ceremony at Shelby Park at 9:30 P.M. with City Officials, a 4th of July Fireworks Display at 10 P.M. sponsored by H.E.B., and a star-studded musical concert at Shelby Park from 6 P.M. through 12 P.M. Midnight, announced George Sanchez, Eagle Pass Parks and Recreation Department Director.
The musical lineup for the 4th of July Independence Day Concert includes Eagle Pass’ very own talented group “Rescate,” Tejano legend David Lee Garza and Los Musicales, the sound master of tropical music “Fito Olivares and the Pura Sabrosura Band,” and headlining the Stars and Stripes musical concert are the kings of Nortena music ” Los Rieleros Del Norte.”
Masters of Ceremony will be Maverick County’s very own Nora Canales and husband, Johnny Canales, of “The Johnny Canales TV Show.”
“The 4th of July Independence Day Concert is going to play music for everyone’s musical taste with an incredible list of the top regional, national, and international musical groups,” said George Sanchez, Parks and Recreation Director. “The City of Eagle Pass is proud to have been able to schedule these outstanding musical bands play at the 4th of July Independence Day Concert,” added Sanchez.
In addition, the 4th of July Independence Day Musical Concert will feature over 100 food and refreshments booths offering the best foods and drinks for the public to purchase. Many of the food booths are sponsored by local charitable and non-profit groups to raise funds for their local charitable work in the community. No Ice Chests are allowed.
Most importantly, all 4th of July Independence Day activities are open to the public and admission is free. All events are family-oriented and designed to celebrate America’s Independence Day.
