C.C. Winn High School Graduation set for Friday, June 2nd

The thundering Eagle Pass C.C. Winn High School Mavericks Class of 2017 graduation is scheduled to be held on Friday, June 2, 2017, at 8 P.M. at the Eagle Pass Independent School District (EPISD) Student Activity Center Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium, announced EPISD Superintendent Gilberto Gonzalez.

Over 500 seniors are expected to graduate from C.C. Winn High School on Friday, June 2nd, announced C. C. Winn High School Jesus Diaz-Wever.

C.C. Winn High School Principal Jesus Diaz-Wever, faculty, and staff proudly announce the graduation of their students and applaud the top five (5) percent graduates of the Class of 2017.

Principal Jesus Diaz-Wever announced the C.C. Winn High School Top 5% graduating seniors during their Recognition Banquet held at the EPISD Fine Arts Reception Room on Wednesday, May 10, 2017.

The 2017 C.C. Winn High School Valedictorian is Jose Pedro Jimenez with an outstanding Grade Point Average (GPA) of 110.8056. He plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin and is the son of Jose and Rosa Maria Jimenez.

The C. C. Winn High School Salutatorian is Erick Chavarria with an excellent GPA of 108.7907. He plans to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio and is the son of Esteban and Mireya Chavarria.

The Top 5% of the C.C. Winn High School Class of 2017 include Magaly Hernandez with a GPA of 106.4889; Jennifer Gabrielle Mireles with a GPA of 105.4500; Juan Ortiz with a GPA of 105.3913; Nataly Sanchez with a GPA of 105.0588; Alessandra Pereda with a GPA of 104.9744; Irene Trevino with a GPA of 104.6000; Bianca Milagros Torres with a GPA of 104.5854; Jose De Jesus Noriega with a GPA of 104.1765; Jose Ramon Solano, Jr. with a GPA of 103.2353; Omar Hinojosa with a GPA of 103.1795; Jeremy J. Garces with a GPA of 102.2619; Fernando J. Hernandez with a GPA of 102.0526; Andrew J. Guerra with a GPA of 101.1944; Jorge L. Vargas with a GPA of 100.0606; Sara A. In case of inclement of weather, the C. C. Winn Graduation Ceremony will be moved to 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 3, 2017.  If it is raining on the day of graduation, please tune in to your local radio station, I-Vision on Cable Channel 16, or call your campus to receive further details. If rain continues on the rescheduled date, then the ceremony will be cancelled and students can pick up their diploma the following business day.

The Eagle Pass Independent School District recommends graduates, parents, and family members to use the entrance to the EPISD Student Activity Center located on Loop 480 at the East-side of the SAC to avoid congestion at the main entrance of SAC on US Highway 277 South on the South-side. There are two entrances and exits available to the EPISD SAC so please use both wisely.
