FBI and Texas DPS Agents raid City of Laredo and Webb County Offices in ongoing corruption investigation

United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Texas Department of Public Safety Texas Rangers executed search warrants in several City of Laredo, Texas, Webb County, and a private engineering firm, Dannenbaum Engineering, Offices in Laredo, Texas on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 as part of an ongoing corruption and bribery investigation.
Among the offices raided were the Laredo City Hall, City Hall Annex, City of Laredo Public Works Department, Webb County Commissioner Precinct 4 Jaime Canales Office, and Dannenbaum Engineering offices in Laredo, San Antonio, Houston, and McAllen, Texas, according to sources.
The FBI is currently has an ongoing investigation regarding corruption and bribery in the awarding of public contracts in the City of Laredo and Webb County. To date, no one has been arrested or charged.
