Maverick County Jury Returns Guilty Verdict Against Juan Enrique Rodriguez Ruiz for Murder

(Press Release) On February 21, 2017, a Maverick County Jury was selected to hear the murder case against Defendant Juan Enrique Rodriguez Ruiz for the murder of his wife Maria Pesina Molina Rodriguez. This murder occurred on December 24, 2015. On February 24, 2017, the jury came back with a verdict of guilty and assessed punishment at 55 years in prison and a $10,000.00 fine. District Attorney, Roberto Serna, would like to congratulate his assistants Robert Lee Little and Rene R. Munoz as well as the Eagle Pass Police Department, and the Texas Rangers for their work in this case that led to this conviction and punishment. District Attorney, Roberto Serna, further stated that this type of domestic violence will not be tolerated and that the defendants who commit these offenses will be severely punished.
