Maverick County Public Officials Sworn-In at Public Ceremony
Six Maverick County Public Officials were officially administered their Oaths of Office and sworn-in by Maverick County Judge David R. Saucedo at a public ceremony celebrated at the Maverick County Courthouse on Monday, January 2, 2017, at 10 a.m. amidst a large audience of family, friends, and supporters estimated over 100 persons.
The six Maverick County Public Officials sworn-in included 293rd Judicial District Attorney Roberto Serna, Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber, Maverick County Tax-Assessor Collector Isamari S. Villarreal, Maverick County Commissioner Precinct 1 Gerardo “Jerry” Morales, Maverick County Constable Precinct 3-AB Mario Hernandez, and Maverick County Constable Precinct 4 Jose Regalado, Jr.
All six public officials were accompanied by their respective family, friends, and supporters during their swearing-in by County Judge David R. Saucedo.
Judge Saucedo welcomed all guests in attendance to the swearing-in ceremony and told the audience that all of these six public officials have chosen to represent the best interests of Maverick County citizens while subjecting themselves to criticism from the public, whether merited or not. Judge Saucedo congratulated all of the six public officials on their election or re-election to another four year term during the November 8, 2016 General Election.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, all guests in attendance were treated to refreshments, tacos, and tamales compliments of the public officials sworn-in.
